Site Reliability Engineer based in Warsaw, Poland

Salary: 19 200 - 23 520 PLN net/month (USD 4,800 - 5,900)

Essential job duties and responsibilities

• Own runtime critical services like API Gateways and microservices, databases, infrastructure components like Kafka, deployment infrastructure like Jenkins or Gitlab, and everything in between

• Partner with amazing Product Engineers to help deliver high quality, scalable, and performant applications integral to millions of people’s daily lives

• Write and review code for tooling, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug production challenges on 24x7x365 systems used to power people’s commutes and daily transportation needs

• Help develop observability, monitoring, and reaction processes and tools to keep our systems running at peak performance

• Support your engineering team by being an escalation contact for service incidents and sharing an on-call rotation

Qualifications

• Strong programming (Java, Go, Python) and troubleshooting experience

• Strong Experience in configuration, tuning, deployment of Application / Web servers such as NGnix, Apache, Tomcat

• Strong analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent Scripting & Automation skills

• Deploying applications at cloud providers (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) using Terraform, Cloud Formation, etc.

• Understanding of Database and NoSql Technologies.

• Good fundamentals on Release Management & continuous Integration

• Fundamentals of Identity Management - Authentication/Authorization

• Familiar with LDAP and Single Sign On implementations

• Configuring and maintaining applications such as web servers, API gateways, loadbalancers, relational databases, and messaging systems

• Good handle on observability of Web Applications Performance (e.g. New Relic, AppDynamics, Sentry, Prometheus, PagerDuty, GreyLog)

• Proven record of completing task and project on-time

• Good verbal and written communications skills

• Experience with ELK or Splunk will be a plus

• Collaborate and work along with multiple teams

• Able to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Excellent eye for detail and a self-motivated problem solver.
