Cook for cold kitchen at upscale brasserie in Herentals (near Antwerpen), Belgium

TASKS DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a motivated chef for the cold kitchen section. Experience in a restaurant is required. What matters most is your enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and passion for high-quality cuisine. Together with the kitchen team, you will help create an exceptional culinary experience for our guests.

Your responsibilities

· Preparing mise en place for the cold kitchen

· Preparing and plating dishes during service

· Cleaning and organizing the kitchen after service

· Supporting the kitchen team where needed

· Maintaining HACCP guidelines and other quality standards

Who are you?

· You have experience working in a professional kitchen

· Experience as a cold kitchen in a restaurant is required

· You have a genuine passion for food and gastronomy

· You are stress-resistant and communicative

· You are a team player but can also work independently

· You have good product knowledge

· You are punctual, reliable, and responsible

REQUIREMENTS

Work experience - A few years as a cook in a restaurant is required

Language - Good communicative English

CONDITIONS

Regular hours per week hours - 38

Paycheck weekly

Gross salary 17,33€ brutto per hour

Estimated weekly net salary +- 490€ net a week ( housing cost not deducted yet)

Shift hours On weekdays during day time, in case of events there can be a late start and evening shift ( weekends can be asked to work extra when there are events)

Shift allowance Extra allowances for working on Sundays but this is exceptionally

How is overtime paid? 2€/hour extra for working on Sundays

HOUSING & TRANSPORTATION

Public transport possible? no

Driver’s licence and car required? Driving license is required

Rent of  housing - 130€ for a shared room, 160€ for a single room

Health insurance 11€/month but invoice is sent for the months remaining in the year of start-up
