Maintenance technician at warehouse in Evergem, Belgium

TASKS DESCRIPTION
As a Maintenance Employee, you are jointly responsible for keeping our installations and
systems operational. You ensure that malfunctions and technical issues are followed up quickly and resolved structurally, in cooperation with suppliers and colleagues from other teams.  You liaise with external service partners and monitor their performance. You ensure that agreements are met and that systems continue to run reliably. Think of material handling systems, building installations and supporting infrastructure.

You will be responsible for 3 main tasks:
1. Small interventions on the automated orderpick system ( blocked trays, broken
sensors,..)
2. Intervention on broken sprinklers, tabs, doors, …
3. Intervention and small repairs on rolling equipment like cleaning machines, heftruck, VNA’s,
reachtrucks…
You work during regular office hours, but are on call if there are issues that require urgent
follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
• You coordinate and follow up the work of suppliers, both preventive and corrective
maintenance.
• You support in solving malfunctions and technical problems, together with internal
and external partners.
• You provide input on performance, follow-up of KPIs, and ensure clear registration in
the maintenance system.
• You follow up on supplier agreements, and adjust where necessary.
• You initiate improvements to systems, processes and cooperation with suppliers.
• You assist in the transfer and commissioning of new installations or modifications.
• You monitor documentation, maintenance plans and ensure compliance with safety
and quality.
• You are the point of contact for technical questions from the operation.
• Together with our Logistics Process Manager, you negotiate and follow up contracts
with technical suppliers.
• You are on call for urgent technical problems outside standard working hours.

PROFILE
Profile & Requirements
• Strong technical skills or hands-on experience in electronics, mechanics, electrics and
building systems
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) – essential for smooth communication on the
work floor and with suppliers
• communicative, taking end responsibility and make sure your colleagues can work
worry-free
• Able to work independently and adapt to new situations
• Driving license B
• You have a VCA certificate or are willing to get one

CONDITIONS
Regular hours per week - 37.5h/week
Paycheck Weekly => white collar CONTRACT
Gross salary - Between 19-22€ gross/hour , depending on experience
Estimated net salary  per week 600-700 euro
Mealvouchers -  €8 /worked day
Working hours
Daytime working hours, overtime will be implemented once they start driving, also November and December are high volume periods.

Driver’s license is needed, own car is a plus
Rent of  housing - 102€/week (double room)
154€/week (single room)
Medical insurance  - 10€/month
