Telescopic Crane Operator in Antwerp, Belgium

TASKS DESCRIPTION

As a Telescopic Crane Operator, you are a key player in this high-end project. With the utmost precision and dexterity, you control a telescopic crane and carry out lifting operations. Work is for the upcoming 2 years involved in a huge industrial building project, located in Antwerp harbor region. On the project site, we will deliver all kinds of hoisting services, as from the smallest lift till the biggest load-out, in a safe, qualitative and efficient way. To make sure that our operations crew gets to the next level, we are looking for telescopic Crane Operators.

Your responsibilities include the following:

· Safety is always top-of-mind

· Daily communication with the team about the duties/ project (crane operators, riggers, supervisor).

· Assembling and dismantling the crane.

· Independently and correctly performing lifting operations.

· As a crane operator, you are responsible for your own equipment. Operating, cleanliness, first-line trouble shooting,... of the crane and all accessories.

· Reporting to the planning supervisor.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Education - You have a technical graduate, a higher degree is an asset

Work experience -  You have at least three years of experience as a telescopic crane operator with 50-220T capacity

Language - Communicative English

Others

· You have a hoisting certificate.

· A C/CE license would be an asset.

· You have a safety certificate or you are willing to obtain one.

· Flexible attitude towards tasks and working hours.

· Stress-resistant self-starter with a hands-on mentality.

· Team player with technical insight and a passion for large machinery and outdoor work.

· Basic knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics.

· Strong logical reasoning and quick learning ability.

· Highly observant and proactive in acquiring knowledge.

· Critical thinker with a focus on clarity and safety.

· Confident in raising concerns and initiating consultation when needed.

 

CONDITIONS

Regular hours per week - 37 hours per week

Paycheck - Weekly

Gross salary €19.81/h-€20.81/h

Estimated net salary

+- €560/week (no overtime) +- €775/week (50-hour week)

Shift hours - Day shift

 

Extra

· €20/day net allowance · Ecovouchers

Overtime - Yes, approximately 50-hour weeks

How is overtime paid? 5 hours/week 100% & 8 hours/week 150%
